Dr. LaPorte is a licensed psychotherapist, practitioner trained in ancient and indigenous healing traditions, energy healer, and yoga teacher with over a decade in private practice and 10,000+ hours of direct client work. She holds a doctorate in education with a concentration in counseling psychology, a clinical license in both California and Illinois, and more than three decades of work with neurodiverse populations.

Her formal training spans the Foundation for Shamanic Studies Three Year Program of Advanced Initiations in Shamanism and Shamanic Healing, Irish and Celtic Seabhain training with Amantha Murphy, Arthur Findlay College mediumship, AAIT® certification, Reiki Master, certified meditation instruction, and RYT-200 yoga certification.

She has also worked as a business analyst, systems analyst, and software trainer across large corporations, higher education, and mental health technology startups, which means she thinks in frameworks and speaks fluently in both the analytical and the mystical. That's not an accident. It's the whole point.

As a university faculty member at both undergraduate and graduate levels, she has designed curriculum with defined outcomes and held the kind of classroom that doesn't let anyone stay surface. She brings those same container-building skills to every workshop, community, and room she facilitates.
